AI PDF checker
Upload a PDF and this tool pulls out the text, runs it through the same analysis as pasted writing, and separately inspects the document's production metadata for signs it was exported from an AI writing tool.
It needs selectable text. A scanned document is a picture of words as far as a PDF is concerned, and there is nothing to analyse until it has been through OCR. If your PDF is a scan, upload a page as an image instead — the image pipeline will still tell you something.

Frequently asked questions
Does it check images inside the PDF?
Not in this version. Embedded images come out of a PDF as raw pixel buffers that would need re-encoding before a detector could read them. Extract the image and upload it on its own to have it checked.
Why did my PDF return no result?
Almost always because it is a scan with no text layer. The tool will tell you when it finds too little extractable text rather than guessing.
Can it detect an AI-written section inside a human document?
Sometimes. Each section is scored separately, and a wide spread between them is flagged, which is a reasonable hint at mixed authorship. It will not pinpoint the exact paragraph.
