What is EXIF data?
A block of structured information cameras and phones write into image files, recording the device, its settings at the moment of capture, and often the location.
Does uploading here expose my location?
The coordinates are read from your file and shown back to you, and the file is stored as described in the privacy policy. If that is a concern, strip the metadata before uploading — your operating system's file info panel can usually do it.
Why do images from social media have no EXIF?
Most platforms strip it on upload, partly for privacy and partly to reduce file size. It is why so many checks here come back inconclusive.
